When a foreign entity—including those based in the UK—wishes to open a branch in the UAE, all parent company documents (such as the Articles of Association, Certificate of Incorporation, and Board Resolution) must be attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MoFAIC) both in the UK and in the UAE.
- In addition to business documents, any personal documents intended for official use in the UAE—such as educational qualifications, birth or marriage certificates—must be attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MoFAIC) to be considered valid for visa applications or other legal procedures.
