Frequently Asked Questions

In most instances, yes. Company formations in free zones and mainland often can be completed without having to be physically present - we can handle document signing, notarization and submissions through powers of attorney or digital signatures, with our team here in Dubai overseeing the whole process locally. Usually a visit is only needed later on to get a residence visa if an Emirates ID is required.

The usual list includes a copy of your passport, a passport photograph, some proof of address (like a utility bill or bank statement), and a business plan or a brief description of your business activity. Depending on the jurisdiction and what you're planning to do, we might need additional things like copies of your education certificates (if you're needing a pro license) or a reference from your bank. We'll give you an exact list of requirements after looking into your specific case.

Yes, there is - both countries have a Double Taxation Avoidance Agreement which means that you wont be taxed on the same income twice in either country. This is especially important to know about if you're thinking of doing some corporate tax planning or sending money back to India. Our tax pros can walk you through all the details.

Since the changes to UAE commercial law, the answer is yes - most types of business activities allow full foreign ownership, including for Indians. You dont need to have a local Emirati business partner for most sectors. Free zone companies have always allowed 100% foreign ownership - and there's only a few very sensitive activities that still need some local involvement, which we'll let you know about if its relevant to your business.

You can pay our fees via an international bank transfer and we'll take care of making sure that your bank converts the money into the correct amount. UAE government fees like your trade license and visa need to be paid in AED and you'll need to settle those in AED at the time of application.
