JAFZA is the first Free trade Zone of the UAE, established in the year 1985. It is a landmark location in Dubai. Jebel Ali is the world’s ninth busiest port and also holds the honour of being the largest man-made harbour and the biggest port in the Middle East. JAFZA is located alongside the region’s largest deep sea port in Jebel Ali. It is adjacent to the Dubai Expo 2021 site. It is located at 40km from Dubai International Airport and 24km from Al Maktoum International Airport. With it’s range of offices, warehouses, industrial facilities, and other resources, it is the largest freezone in the world. It allows 100% ownership of the business to the expat and there is no requirement of a local partner. It is a Dubai Free Zone.

Below are the legal types allowed by JAFZA

Free Zone Establishment (FZE)

This allows an individual to be a 100% shareholder of a Company. This company can be a limited liability company in nature. As the name suggests, an FZE implies that there is a single shareholder.

Free Zone Company (FZCo)

This allows multiple shareholders (up to 50 shareholders) in the license. A shareholder can be an individual or a company. It will be a Limited liability company in nature.

Public Listed Company (PLC)

It can have two or more shareholders. It will be a Limited liability company. A PLC may invite the public to subscribe to its shares and must list its shares on a stock exchange in accordance with the market laws.

Branch of a Company

A branch is considered a legal entity of its parent company. It is 100% owned by the parent company, operates under the same name and conducts the same business.

Plots of land

This is good for people who want to construct their own building or facility. Each land size varies from Minimum 5,000 sq m to larger, depending upon the requirement of the client.

Warehouses

JAFZA has a pre-built warehouse facility which is capable enough to meet the high-quality storage and light manufacturing. Units have built-in office spaces which vary in size from 313sqm to 670sqm. Warehouse drive-in vehicle height varies from 6m to 12m.

Showrooms

They have showrooms available with a dedicated warehouse, Office Space with two floors and a prime Showroom at the front with Glass. All offices have provisions for air conditioning and are equipped with light fixtures, power points and telephone access. Various size options such as showrooms of 264sqm, office space from 158sqm to 277sqm, and warehouses of 348sqm are available. Showroom drive-in entrance height varies from 6m to 9m.
