Dubai is one of the safest cities in the world especially for the women. This country gives the opportunities for women to grow. Women of this country feel more confident due to helpful and supportive laws of the country.

There are an increasing number of women in important corporate roles and many who are turning into entrepreneurs.

There are women who are doing great in Real Estate, make-up and beauty business, retail, fitness center, e-commerce business, digital marketing etc.

There are no fields where women are not performing well. Some of the most successful businesses in UAE are being run by women entrepreneurs.

1. Dr. Amina Al Rostamani, Group CEO in TECOM Group

She is the Chief Executive Officer of AWR Properties, Director and Board Member of AW Rostamani Group, Board Member of Dubai Healthcare City Authority and Noor Bank. Labeled as one of the most powerful women in Arab world, she looks over 4500 companies.

2. Nayla Al Khaja, Film Maker

She is the first female film Director/Producer in the United Arab Emirates. She is the CEO of Nayla Al Khaja Films; a Dubai-based company previously named D-Seven Motion Pictures, and is also founder of The Scene Club, Dubai’s first film club, launched in 2007. Al-Khaja wrote, produced and directed several films, presented and awarded in international film festivals.

3. Renuka Jagtiani

The Indian CEO of retail company Landmark Group Ms. Jagtiani is another influential woman in the region.

4. Huda Khattan

Social media influencer who turned into an entrepreneur, Huda Khattan is also based in the UAE. The American-Iraqi national has founded the billion-dollar cosmetics brand Huda Beauty.

Women make up 70% of all university graduates in the UAE. 46% of graduates in the stream of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) are women. The literacy rate of Emirati woman is whopping 95.8%. UAE’s Space Program has 50% women employees. Emirati women also make up 20% of the diplomatic corps including female ambassadors to the United Nations. Also, the UAE is the first country in the GCC region to make it a rule that every government organization needs to have women as board members.

Women today in UAE are not only standing tall in industries which were once deemed only for men, but they have also taken on new roles not existing previously, and proving themselves to be true inspirational icons.
