What Is Branding And Why It Is Essential For Startups?

admin

As very well said by Mr. Jeff Bezos “Your brand is what people say about you when you are not in the room.”

What is Branding?

By definition Branding is a marketing exercise where a company produces a name, symbol or design that is easily recognizable as belonging to the company. This helps to identify a product and differentiate it from other products and services. Branding is important because it makes an unforgettable impression not only on consumers but it also allows your customers and clients to know what they will be delivered as services.

You can always think about a brand like you think about a person, as like a person the brand also has its own identity, voice, values of personality, beliefs, story, character, attitude and soul. There are many mediums that are used to advance a brand including advertising, customer service, promotional merchandise, reputation, and logo. But not to forget that your brand is always made to be a true depiction of who you are as a business, and how you wish to be perceived.

Is Logo Branding Important?

Branding is completely critical for a business because it is how the company gets recognition in the market and in the eye of customers. Logo is considered as one of the most important element in branding as it creates the most unique attention grabbing proficient profile. It is very important to create most memorable and appealing logo which makes an Impression on the customer at first glance.

Why it is important for any company?

Targeting the Right Audience – The Entrepreneurs are mostly fanatical with new product ideas and are not aware about the importance of basic branding principles. Smart branding not only comes with name, logo and looks but it also has to be more research based, which can target the market audience and create the identity which will be focused more on the benefits for the consumers and customers. Hence, it involves more than name and design as it essential in building a strong relationship with customers.

Research Based– Its noticed that many start-ups begin with an original and excellent idea, but the product fascination often outshines the need for resourceful customer research which is essential for placing the product brand to gain the faith and build the business.

Creativity– In order to sustain growth in any business these days, one must be more creative and open-minded, even adding an outdoor aspect to “think out of the box” via an ideation session or similar suggesting initiatives.

Planning– A professional appearance and well-planned branding will help the company build trust and faith with consumers, potential clients and customers. People are more expected to do business with a company that has a sophisticated and expert depiction.

Products tends to change and the customers shift the journey with time. However, once the brand has created its own identity then the core remains constant even when there is competition in the market. Once the trust is gained through effective branding the business will survive the competition.

Once your branding is complete, it is also essential to protect it from fraudulent copying and misuse by other parties. Your brand can be protected using the Intellectual Property Laws that are in place, including trademark, etc.
